ichat audio recording problem

hey, i just started recording my own podcast, and was recording an interview over ichat. i recorded this in the same track as i usually talk in, and the problem seems to be that in the recording, i cant really hear the other persons voice over ichat. he had his microphone close to his mouth and his volume up, but still you can barley hear him.

is there anything i am doing wrong or any way to enhance what i already recorded?

cause if i record a audio chat on ichat, to put into garageband, shouldnt it make it its own track?
