Is anyone else getting a request to download adframe.php every time they go to a new page on this site?

Hmmm, not happening to me now. This morning, every time I went to another page it was coming up.

Problem seen here and at Podcast Pickle with Firefox 1.5 on Ubuntu. Just started this morning.

There are security alerts on this, e.g.

http://www.frsirt.com/english/advisories/2005/0259

google "adframe.php" for more information.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Update: 10:22 EST. Symptom has gone away here and at PP. Problem was solid trying to use podcast directory search tools at both sites.

Could be something happening downstream of both sites.

It started ahppening again on Friday, so I stopped using the forum. At this point I am not seeing the problem, so perhaps next week it will be cleared up.

Tx George.

For my info. What Browser / OS are you using? I did not get a chance to test the problem elsewhere when it showed up.

No, I'm not gettin git now. I was getting it while I was at work, so perhaps the problem was localized?

Not seeing problem now.

Note that I saw exactly the same problem here and at Podcast Pickle. In both cases I was using podcast directory search to try to find a specific type of podcast.

I suspect that the common factors are PHP and your Ad service. ie., something downstream from both of you. Firefox may also be a factor. Hard to say with just the two problem reports.

I was a bit concerned, beyond the obvious annoyance of getting the open/save dialog on every action, because of the match with prior security advisories.

Ferf:

Did you ever get an answer to possible cause. Just wondering because I have an active follow up on this as a potential security issue.

Just thought I'd mention that I'm getting that problem again this morning.

Not seeing it but I have made several changes since last time:

- Now using Firefox 2
- Now running Adblock Plus extension with EasyList and EasyElement

Tested search again here which was the solid test case before.

The Adblock Plus extension also works for FF1.5 if you have not upgraded yet and is a very simple install.

Update:
I whitelisted 72.3.228.235/* which got the ads back, but, still not seeing symptom.

I've seen this as well. It usually happens I notice when they rotate the advertisement banners to a new one.

In fact I vaguely remember this happening once with a client I had when we implemented a PPC system on their site. I'll have to look back in files see if I made any notes...

Yes, I've see this at PS+ as well PCA.
