Free Podcast hosting - Need Beta Testers

Hello everyone,
I wanted to know if anyone is interested in helping to shape the next best podcast hosting service? I just completed development, and we went Beta this morning.

If you want fre hosting, with RSS generator, with reports and statistics, VitalPodcasts.com hosting gives you everything you need in tracking your podcast.

• Is the free hosting strictly a beta feature? In other words, what happens when you're no longer in beta? Do you start charging, or is this part of your business model?
• If free hosting is being offered, then what am I giving up in exchange for it? Do you place ads? If so, what form do they take? How are they placed? Do I have any control? I'm not opposed to advertising, but I do like to know how it's being handled.
• Is there a length of commitment?

Let me answer your questions...

We are Beta becuase we know there will be issues, and instead of people going nuts, we can work with them to fix it. Once we go "live" it will still be free.

What are you giving up? Most likely less money to your current hoster. No forced ads... WE will be offering a google ad words like auto ad insertion, Only if the podcaster elects to have an ad inserted. The system wwill require both the advertiser and the podcaster to agree to advertise andonly then will a ad be placed. But thats only if you want to have an ad.

Also, we are thinking about adding a system where you upload a generic intro file, which is played first, followed by the ad, then the regular show, which makes the ad a little less invasive. Thats the current thinking... we are not set on anything, nothing have been developed for that system.

Length of commitment... Nope... There isnt even a term of service yet, Im not a corporation, Im giving free access, free storage, on a as is basis. I will say there will be a 10 episode storage limit, so you can only store your latest 10 shows to save space. We just want to offer a place that rocks for podcasters.

We are currently having an upload issue right now, many podcasters are getting timed out when uploading files, only becuase their end is timing out, so we are looking into a better way to handle that. I have yet to haev a issue.

as said in the first post, we are looking for peopel who want to help shape this service.

Your getting Charts and reports, your getting RSS generation, your getting hosting... Your getting everything you need, no need to "burn" your feed, no need to create your own RSS feed...
