Let me explain my step by step briefly so you can see where my loop hole is.
I am the webmaster of a broadcast website.
I am taking the djs mix sets and podcasting them ~
Eg: I take the mix and upload it to my other server and
using a podcasting tool i create the appropriate rss file for EACH mix set.
Now that i did all that, i have all the information available to make a webpage (or section of) where a visitor can subscribe to the individual djs podcasts.
Now theres a problem:::::::::::
Say i have 3 djs
this means each month theres 3 new mixes.
On the first month i can creat all the related info, files, and do uploads ( 3 mixes )
Now what about the next month?
I can still create the related info and such but using this tool
it will not ADD the appropriate additional info to the rss file related to the OLD mix from the same dj.
Follow me?
In otherwords,
I make an rss file related to this months mix
when i use my tool the LAST USED FOR DJS SO AND SO history is gone.
So when SO AND SO gives me a new mix, i end up with a TOTALY new rss file instead of what a subscriber would look for
(NEW INFO ON TOP OF OLD INFO in the rss file)
Any ways around this?
i was thinking i can just copy the new rss info and past it to the top of the old RSS info file and then just upload it again?
