ok, i realize the "topic" may be - a tad - misleading, but it fits into my "podcasting" thread. besides, i didn't know how else to title it, hehe. anyway, is this new legislation (when signed into law) going to deal a blow to those of us (in the u.s.) who promote gambling websites in our casts?

for me, this is a major issue, due to the revenue stream. not only that, BUT, such content (re: gamblings tips, etc.) makes for great show content.

does this spell "doom" for this kind of cast? NO! i am NOT saying "the sky is falling," but i'd like some serious discussion on this issue. :D

Agree it's off-topic and agree that is an annoying piece of legislation.

Land of the free?

Only in Nevada. Or Atlantic City. Or if you want to bet on horses (but not football).

This is yet another rule that is completely unenforceable, and is yet another example of the government overstepping it’s authority.

If this goes through, and it probably well, there are only about a dozen ways to thwart it and to continue playing on line. Although most of them will slow things down, which will be a pain in the butt for all the players.

Well, there are other poker affiliate programs out there besides partypoker. Unfortunately, some of them "forget" to pay their affiliates!
