View Full Version : A Big "Thank You" To The Alley Podcasters

I posted this over at PodcastPickle, and am copying it here because of the support.

The Podcast Peer Awards have completed and One Minute How-To (http://OneMinuteHowTo.com) took the award for Best Short Podcast. The other two shows in the same category were so strong that I was just content to be positively associated with them. I'd like to give a big "Thank You" to those podcasters who supported my little podcast, as well as those who voted at PodcastPeers (http://PodcastPeers.org). I have been saying all along that the nominations page can be seen as an excellent directory for those seeking podcasts to listen to, as they are selected by podcasters themselves.

Cheers -

Glad to see you posted over here, too!

Congratulations on your big win. Certainly make the most of it. Remember, it's not just a Podcast Peer Award -- it's a Prestigious Podcast Peer Award! :)

Congrats again!

Just being nominated gave the show enough gravitas that it's been earier to get people to come on the show. Just being nominated was a big enough thrill.

You came groaningly close in an exceptionally tough category. Accident Hash has been around pretty much since the beginning, so to come up next to C.C. is certainly a fantastic affirmation.

I was really glad you were there also - after listening to your show I added it to my list of subscriptions. I love learning things and you've got an excellent vehicle for that.

BTW, your current show talks about the Libert Ships. During the revolution there were Liberty Trees - one in each state (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Tree). I watched as the very last one was taken down in Annapolis, Maryland several years ago. It was a tulip poplar and was around 350 years old when it was struck by lightning. They thought to save it, but every tree specialist they called in said that it was done for, so I've got a series of pictures of them taking it down.

I didn't know about that, George---I'll have to see what I can find out about them.

I second the thanks! Adam and I are thrilled that Absolute Science won in the science category. We had excellent competition, and we are grateful for every vote.

Thanks!
