I just subscribed to a popular podcast.

I want to get the past episodes of the the show. I have no filters and am requesting to see the last 200 episodes.

I realize that band width limitations such as they are that the creator may have intentionally removed the old shows. I have not been subscribed long enough to know if they remove last weeks show off the feed once the new one shows up.

Is their a way to 'trick' the feed that you should be able to see the old episodes? (if available)

Last week I subscribed Friday using 'Feed Demon' on my laptop. Then the new show appeared Monday. I subscribed with my desktop just today and see no old shows , same settings verified, no user login details required.

Any direction to take this? The topic really intrests me and I am getting ready for a road trip and would like to have a few eisodes to take with me.

I have asked the webmaster and the info contact for a how to, but until they reply does anyone have any ideas.

Most podcatching software lets you set the option to set how many episodes you download. All of them that I've seen usually display what's in the feed.

There's really no way to trick the feed -- A podcatcher can only display what's in the feed. If your program is reading the entire feed and the episodes aren't there, then they've been removed from it. Some feed generating programs only allow a certain number of entries in the feed. When that number is reached, it writes over the oldest entry with the next oldest, and so on. In a case like this, all you can do is check to see if the podcaster has links to archived shows on his site.

If you're convinced there are more shows in the feed, you could try another program to see if it reads the feed any differently.

What's the name of the show, and how many episodes can you see in the feed? I can see if iTunes spots any more shows. If it does, then you need t change the settings in your program or find another one.
