My podcast's audio is okay I guess (except for the 1st show's interview, yuck). But workign with audio is sophisticated and I don't even think I really know the basics. I use an outdated version of audtion (1.5). Any advice as to where to go or what to do in order to learn audio temrinology and how I could more intelligently play with my audio settings?

I suggest you get one of the books on podcasting. I haven't read any of them myself, being a long-time audio professional and one who likes reinventing wheels. So I'm not going to specifically recommend any of them, but I know O'Reilly published one (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/podcastinghks/index.html), and there pretty reputable as publishers go.
