Hey everybody, looking forward to meeting you out in CA in less than two weeks. What are some of the parties and events you guys are heading to after the show?

The RawVoice team will have a Suite at the Hotel and will be meeting with Podcasters each night after the show. Feel free to stop by and see us. You can visit our booth as well 413 on the show floor.

I know there are several parties, the Podtrack party follows the Podcast Award ceremony and there is a concert one night in the hotel plenty to keep you busy.,.

Another one of these web-based forums to check into? I am really beginning to hate these things. Few of them have RSS feeds and none of them can be subscribed to as mailing lists -- at least, when I choose to have them notify me by e-mail they never do. I'd have to waste most of my day checking-into these things if I actually wanted to keep up with them.

But thanks for the pointer. I missed any previous news about this forum.

We'll be in on Thursday evening, so I expect to spend the night in the Marriot bar. I have met a total of ONE other podcaster since this whole thing started, so I'm hoping to improve on that somewhat. Looking forward to it.

I started putting things that I know on the calendar in the Yahoo podcaster group for meetups etc at the expo because I was losing track of what was when.

I just posted a new edition of "Behind the Scenes" featuring interviews with a bunch of podcasters discussing their experience at last year's Expo and their expectations for this year's if anyone's interested.

As for events, I know Brother Love is doing a poolside concert at the Marriott Friday night and Podchick is planning a day of skydiving for those hanging around on Sunday. Brother Love will also be doing a concert Saturday night at the skydiving location. Details on both of the latter are here:

(And no, as it turns out I won't be able to make it for the jump but I have jumped before...highly recommended!)

As for me, I'll be at the Orange County Podcasters booth (619) or Trypod Network (???) booth most of the time. Stop by and say hi!

Technically it is, actually, given that a) this thread is about parties/events during the Expo and b) your invitation was to come check out your product. (Spam is partially defined as an unsolicited advertisement.)

You are, of course, welcome to start a new topic on "Expo exhibitors" or the like in which case you would be completely on topic and anyone visiting the thread would be expecting product promotion.
