Hi,
I manually delete my podcasts from my iPod by seeing which MP3's I have listened to on the "Play Count" column in iTunes, and deleteing the ones with a number next to them.
This causes a problem because I have to fastforward each podcast even if I don't like it so that it marks it as "Played"
Is there a easier way to mark a files as been playhed without acually playing the entire file?

You mean actually using iTunes on your PC? If you play a song for 1 second it gets marked as played. Or a right click will give you the option. I must note that I do not have an ipod or a Mac so I might not get the gist of this question.

If you're using a PC you can right click on the episode and mark played. I don't know of any way to do it on your iPod.

Preston is right, on your iPod you only have to play it for one second in order for it to be marked as played. On a PC in iTunes you can right click and mark as played. On a Mac in iTunes you can crtl-click and mark as played.
And of course, not putting podcasts you don't like into your iPod, or deleting them from iTunes makes it easier too. ;)

Very strange. For me I have to play the whole podcast through to earn a playcount increment..... I wonder if we have some global settings in different positions?

Yeah, I'm with Jeff on this one. I seem to have to skip to the end to earn a play count on my 4G iPod if I want one. On the Mac its just like a PC. Right click and mark as played.
There may be some new setting to dink with in order to get the iPod to behave like it does for Senor Buttons and friends.

Of course, you could just set your iTunes iPod preferences to do that for you automatically. Is there some reason you don't?
