For those who are interested, this week on Building The Pod (http://www.audio2u.com/buildingthepod.htm), I take a user-submitted promo, and rebuild it (Rob from the Dead Science podcast sent me all of the component parts for his promo, for exactly this purpose) in real time.
In the process, I explain not only WHAT I'm doing, but WHY I'm doing it as well.
I've been building promos for a living for almost 20 years, so I kinda know what I'm doing in this regard. :)
I've put the regular MP3 (encoded at ~100kbps) on the feed, but for the audiophiles out there, if you check the BTP page, I've put up a 320 kbps MP3 as well. It's a big file, and not for the bandwidth impaired, but it's almost as good as listening to the wav file.
Anyway, enough shameless self promotion.... just thought I'd advise of this particular episode, for anyone who is interested in knowing what makes a great promo.
As you were...
