Hi,

There is a bad story that was happened to me last 3 weeks,
so i want to tell everybody about truth of online business abit.

Im working at the Addictive Labs,
we are analysing risks of bying items on the internet for the end
user. So as usual, i was ordering things from my research table,
the name of report were 'tickets online', so as you already
understood it was all about tickets online. I chose my first site, it
was about concert tickets (We usually have sitelists from our database
we need to check, but this day i was thinking to try search
engines for that and take top site from there). So i got shoking results:

First researched site (can't use real names yet), was in the top
of most search engines i tried:

"Concert Ticket Brokers
It is now possible to order concert tickets online
from one of premiere concert ticket brokers.
Just click (http://concert-tickets.buyregion.info/) on the artist you're interested in
below for prices and seating locations. If you don't see
the concert tickets (http://concert-tickets.buyregion.info/) you are looking for use
the search function to the right, view our Advanced Search to view tickets to
hundreds of events nationwide! You don't have to order
your concert tickets (http://concert-tickets.buyregion.info/) online.
If you prefer we can take handle your transaction over the phone."

So this was only a start, i tried these links, also tried another items
coming next by these in the lists of SE, and what i found that i was able to buy
(means to PAY) for a ticket. These sites were well designed and all of
them gave me a form to provide info from credit card, but nobody took the phone at support
line provided at most sites while i tried to call and most not even replied to my emails.

I got 75% of ordered tickets, but 25% were lost (at least they're still not
here, and there're no support to call, and no email reply).

We had around 900 sites were tested, so lots of sites were
strange, and i never get any responce where my money was taken.

So what i want to say in conclusion, you need to be careful ordering
tickets online. I hope we get the report published soon so everybody
can analyse it and make an own decisions about buying tickets online.

Here are some links you should better avoid for buying from:
concert tickets (http://concert-tickets.q9a.info/)
concert tickets (http://concert-tickets.dotpill.com)
concert tickets (http://coincert-tickets.storage9.com/)
concert tickets (http://coincert-tickets.34www.com/)

I hope this story help you start thinking of risks, and not buying directly
from not approved sites.

Thanks.

So this has anything to do with podcasting? Or is this just ordinary forum spam?

Due to the horrible spelling and grammatical errors, as well as the number of posts by this individual, makes me think it is spam. However, the poster doesn't seem to be selling anything, so who knows? If he never posts again then I guess we'll know.

As for the topical content, I would say it doesn't have to relate to podcasting at all because it is in the General Discussion area of the forums. I could talk about what kind of dog food my dog likes and it would still be on-topic in this area of the forum.

Evil.

My mistake. I see that it is Everything Elseâ„¢ that is about, um... everything else. for some reason when I scimmed the forums I read it as General Discussionâ„¢. I'm sure that even the forum police will admit that General Discussionâ„¢ could be interpreted as Anything Elseâ„¢.

Agreed. In fact "Top Rated Shows" seems to have morphed into "General Discussion" leaving General Discussion to wander off by itself.

Just curious, where is that â„¢ character on your keyboard? I'd like to find that one and the Copyright symbol as well.

To get the trademark symbol (™) I press Option and 2 together. To get the copyright symbol I press Option and G ( © ) together. To get the registered symbol ( ® ) I press Option and R together. Those are the key combinations on a Mac, so if you use Windows your mileage may vary.
