Is there windows software that allows you to use multiple microphones and record the audio i have used audio audtion and have not been able to get it working any other suggestions other than a mixer. Thx in advance for the help.

Yes, but your going to have to pay for it. Check out Adobe Audition, Cakewalk Sonar 5, Cubase and Pro Tools for a start.
