View Full Version : AAC loses meta info after running ChapterTool on it

I'm trying to automate the process of converting an MP3 into AAC w/ chapters attached to it. I've come far enough to convert, apply chapters and allegedly clone the metadata from the MP3, but the .m4b that it outputs, will not play.

I've traced the problem to being the metadata that I try to apply. After I do that, the file is broken. If I leave out that part, it works fine, but there is no metainfo on the file. It gets lost in the process of applying chapters, it seems.

Even running chaptertool on the Audio Guide that ships with ChapterTool itself, the metainfo is not inherited to the m4b.

Also, editing the .m4b *in* iTunes, works fine.

Any ideas?
