I'm not sure where to post this question.
I'm interested in making a podcast that involves a discussion group of people who don't live in the same location. Has anyone had any experience conducting such a podcast? Could you give me recomendations on how to go about it? Should I try to record a teleconference call or is there some sort of software or VOIP type of thing to do this?
Thanks!

skype with hot recorder....
or both parties talk to each other on skype and locally record on both ends so one person doesn't obviously sound like they're on skype.
both recordings get sent to the same person for syncing and editing. it's called a double ender.

Thanks, sounds like hot recorder is well worth the $15. Anybody here have positive or negative experiences with it? Are there any issues I should worry about as far as sound quality? It seems like it'd be difficult for the program to mix the different lines.

I used it recently. It was okay most of the time, but occasionally, the left channel would fall out of sync with the right channel. So I can't really recommend it. I use vEmotion, because it has a recorder and I get a more solid connection using the voice feature of AIM than I ever can with Skype.

If you can afford it, get a mixer that can do a mix minus, use 2 sound cards (or 2 computers). There is an episode of systm that covers podcasting, and the last part deals with such a method.
