Microsoft Plans Its Own Hand-Held Player... Story Here (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/06/technology/06ipod.html?ei=5090&en=a6e07d7ba2c7e8bf&ex=1309838400&adxnnl=1&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss&adxnnlx=1152590498-jlGLlVAMSshZshJtLKKWxQ)

Didn't they try their own iTunes store already? How did that go? I never heard about it at all.. or at least from other Windows users. In my opinion Microsoft would have to do something 'different' and much better than what people are hooked on already...

Anyway, thought it was worth sharing.
Cheers!

P.S. Does this not seem really late in the game? I mean really LATE!

There's a already a thread (http://www.podcastalley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=62279#62279) about it.

I'll have to check my sources because I can't remember where I read it, but it's supposed to be wi-fi enabled. The idea being you can DL songs almost anywhere, but the disadvantage is that they want to use it to push ads at you as well. I don't know about you, but if what I read about the ads is accurate, I won't touch it. Period.

I don't see why I should pay a premium price for an mp3 player with wireless and then have ads shoved on me. That's why I don't use Windows and that's why I won't use an M$ mp3 player.

Later,
Evil.
