Hey everyone - I just launched a public radio parody podcast called
IPR : Irrational Public Radio (http://www.irrationalpublicradio.com)
http://www.irrationalpublicradio.com/images/pilot_album_cover_med.JPG (http://www.irrationalpublicradio.com)
Would love to have you check it out (http://www.irrationalpublicradio.com) and let me know, from a fellow podcaster's perspective, what you think! -- Joe
Where other news sources leave off, Irrational Public Radio starts, and proceeds almost mercilessly. For the discerning listener, IPR is a stalwart of integrity, a bastion of integrity, and just a huge heaping platter of integrity. We commend you for your taste and your fetching personal scent.

I haven’t listened, but it does have a monkey on it, and that’s always a good thing. And a sock monkey gets you an extra bonus point.

I agree. Monkey inclusion is almost always a plus. I do think you might actually dig the show too, if you have a few free minutes. If you don't like it, well, I guess that's just too bad.

Monkeys = funny! That's our motto at least. So, just for having a monkey front and center, we'll download and give it a listen.

Very informative. Being from the West Coast, I was totally unaware that substantial quantities of rutabaga are harvested on the ecologically fragile Vermont/Pennsylvania border.

Ah yes, the feds don't like the word getting out on that, but 98% of the east coast's rutebaga comes from that district. As a nation we're trying to ween ourselves off dependence on Iceland's rich natural rutebaga bounty.

We can't swing with monkeys in Safari.
In other words, our mac browser can't see your server.
I will try to find you with FireFox.
Yes the Fox likes Monkeys.
And the Swingers like the show.
Good Times. Good Times.

Thanks Safari Monkeys for checking out the program, and for the head's up about Safari. Is the issue your not being able to see the web page, or that you Safari can't recognize the RSS feed? Need to figure out why that is...
Swing on,
J

I'm using Safari and I saw you just fine. Found the server ok. Seemed to display the page fine, and even clicked through to the demo. All seemed to work.
Now, about that demo... Funny; good bits, lots and lots of potential! But dude! Put in a volume control or something! I thought it was pretty darned loud. I was hoping to listen to it in the background while I browsed around, but it was way too loud and distracting for that! Is there any reason why you're embedding it in the web page the way you are?

oops - there I go again.
First of all, thanks for checking out the site with Safari - glad to know it works.
Secondly, sorry to blow out your speakers. I embedded it in the webpage so it would come up quicker (since Flash .swf files are smaller and begin to play as they're still loading, and was worried having to download the entire mp3 before hearing any of it might disuade some people) - but I might have to rethink that. Thanks for the feedback!

wow I guess everyone likes the monkey. I've actually done a number of monkey-related projects in my life (including a band called The Sludgemonkeys, and a play I wrote and produced called Frozen Dead Monkey).
Appreciate all y'all checking out the IPR podcast. I'm in the process of checking out all of yours as well. The whole podcasting world is relatively new to me - I'm diggin' it.
Cheers guys
