View Full Version : New Podcast Cover Art for How To
WyethDigital

I've got some new podcast cover art. We shot about 72 pictures today and this is one of the first I've played with. Not too bad. I may have some others that I end up using instead, but I think overall I'm on the right track.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, but I don't think Madeline would like those modifications :D

Wow good ears Eric! He has been boogery & a chough-a-holic. We were bickering most of last show, between my PMS (aka madcow disease as you call it:P ) and the tension from our PC being fubar'd I had zero tolerance that night. :D I feel more at peace now. :D
I like the photo - do you have any with her holding a tool? I think that would really catch the guys eyes - I mean what man doesn't love seeing a woman hold a tool, and it would also get the point across to us women folk that she's actually going to show us how to do something. I dunno just a thought.
I do like what you have though - just pitching a thought that popped in my melon.

I could make a comment as to the ideal tool that should be held, but I shall refrain!

I think the empowered women have spoken Eric, you bourgeois swine! :P
Actually, I thought Madeline had an affinity for the '50s styles. I could be mistaken and misunderstood the conversations we've had.
I also know that they (Eric and Madeline,) are working on some killer non-podcast downloadables to encourage traffic for their site. I don't wish to give to much away for fear that I will piss off the artiste.

Something like this - minus the dude behind her.

I think myself Madeline needs a few looks. I serious thought she was kick butt checking the tire air pressure.

Oh sure! Those are great suggestions! We actually have a whole series of shots with Madeline in different personas. The "vintage" look was on the first roll, so that's the one I messed around with first. So you think Madeline in a vintage sun dress vacuuming the floor wouldn't present an empowering image to young women? Femminists! ;)
I have one of Madeline as she's changing her tire, all grimey and stuff. As for a sneak peek into things ahead, we have plans this weekend to shoot Madeline as Lara Croft brandishing hot glue guns instead of the bullet shooting things... But I could change that to a drill or a jig saw :)
I can't tell you what the Lara Croft thing has to do with anything yet, but in a coupleof weeks you'll all find out! Ah! Some mystery!

It's not a power tool, but she's holding something vital to Podcasting! But am I talking about the iPod, or the drink?

Ya' know, I think they (the photos) look more sixties inspired than fifties, what with the hair style.
This photo is nice, but the iPod is a little historically innacurate don'cha think? Sort of an anachronism. And where the fook are the earbuds! What good's an iPod without earbuds!!! The iPod takes me out of the picture and makes me think about reality and stuff. That's never a good thing
Later,
Evil.
P.S. It is clearly not a video iPod despite your attempts at deception by Photoshopping a picture on it. The viewing public wants to know what exactly you're trying to hide!!! :!:

This is meant for a Desktop picture, yes? (Wallpaper for you windoids out there.) I think you should format the picture for the Mac audience! Screw the windows users! :P
(That should keep this thread on the front page awhile  )

You're right! It's not the 1050's. In fact, we zipped ahead 40 years in time, and based on a historically innacurate nostalgia kick which morphed the 1950's and 1960's into one decade within the minds of the cognascenti, we ended up mislabeling the pictures.
You must understand, The Future is an intoxicating place... with flying cars; city scapes with 1000 foot inverted spires; elaborate clog dancing rituals; the last 2 Republicans, who thus far refuse to breed (Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly apparently aren't sexually compatable -- their egos are larger than their sex organs); and 4G iPod Classics with Video (which is what is pictured). We would have used the U2 iPod Classic, but they were too busy ruling the Galaxy with an Iron Guitar to license the new version, and thus it had not been released yet.
Sorry for not adding the proper disclaimer. When we release 4-D Holo versions, I'll add a notation.

I'm thinking that if it were the 1050s Madeline would be burned at the stake for her powerful magical device, and how she dresses, speaks, carries herself as an equal, ad infinitum. (Don't know Latin but I think that phrase is corect. I suppose I could ask Mr. Cognascenti (http://www.podcastalley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11249&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30) :P Lay off the Thesaurus, okay?)

Lara Croft - That is genius & Madeline will rock out as her. I can only say that if you do have her as Lara Croft - I know what poster Ryli will want hanging in her bedroom. I'm not joking I will have to get a poster made for her.

 I meant the 1950's! Heh!
I was wondering what the hell you were babbling on about! Oh well... the cat was all over the kyeboard when i was typing.
I'm surprised you didn't make mention of the inverted spires, whichfor all practical purposes would be nothing more than a deep hole! :)

I actually had an idea about the background while I was at work pushing 25,000 + lineal feet of of wood through a sander.
I'll e-mail the idea to you so as to keep it a surprise for the regular viewers.
