Hello all - here's an advanced copy of our Press Release.
We'll continue to listen to the requests of the podcast and blogging ccommunity and are striving to create the useful tools which everyone wants.

PODCASTERS, GIVE YOUR AUDIENCE A VOICE OF THEIR OWN WITH MYCHINGOâ„¢

USER-FRIENDLY AUDIO COMMENT SYSTEM MAKES IT EASY FOR LISTENERS TO SHARE THEIR THOUGHTS

INDEPENDENCE, MO – June 5, 2006 – For most podcasters, the thought of hearing an actual listener voice is manna from heaven. In the void of cyberspace, blog comments can seem cold and impersonal. Michael Bailey, creator of MyChingo, is out to change all that.

“We wanted to add a more personal element to the digital medium,” says Bailey. “MyChingo gives podcast listeners and blog readers an opportunity to share their voices in a new way without the need for extensive equipment, or software to download and install. With just a microphone, they can record and send a comment with a few clicks.”

As an avid podcast listener, Bailey noticed the numerous requests for some type of easy-to-use audio comment system. He partnered with a team of java experts in the Ukraine, Vimas Technologies, to develop a system for users who may not have extensive technical knowledge.

For just $3.95 per month, MyChingo can be customized and installed on any blog or web page, such as MySpace or Blogger, and has features including a recorder and built-in RSS and chat functions. It can act as a voice mail system, a chat room, or a quick and easy way to put out podcasts with no editing.

“This one simple tool offers bloggers and podcasters a variety of options, from simple voice mail to group chats,” says Bailey. “We see this as the next step in audience participation.”

MyChingo is currently being used on MySpace pages, the Culinary Podcast Network, and shows like the Podcast Pickle Show and The Nate & Di Show.

For more information, or to see MyChingo in action, visit www.mychingo.com (http://www.mychingo.com).

MyChingoâ„¢ is a product of Mobasoft, LLC.

mychingo doest rock. i want it, but it's a tad expensive. well actually, i agree it is pretty cheap, but also kinda not. you know what i mean? $45 is a lot, even though it only is $4 a month. id definitely buy it at around 15 or 20 dollars, though.

We've been using the system for about a month, and we think this is the best podcast tool since itunes:

ElNacho,

Yeah, I'd love to give it away for free, but my kids need to eat!
It's almost priced at one-gallon of gas...well, soon enough anyhow.

The MP3 audio comments are currently recorded at 32Kbps
22KHz Sample Rate
1 channel mono

Perfectly ready for downloading and inserting right into your next podcast.

That's cool El Nacho.

You could always sign up initially through PayPal using the monthly plan.
The first 3-days are free, then it's $3.95 a month - and since you'll control the subscription through PayPal, you could then just cancel it after your big donation comes in and change to an annual subscription.

Having said that...if you agree to pimp the service in each of your podcasts for the next year, I'll give you a year membership for free.

Trust me, I do realize how it is to be short of funds.

Let me know, either way.

Regards,

Michael

Thanks Nate & Di - you guys rawk!

Have I told you that lately?

BTW, I haven't seen you launch your voice conference yet.

Maybe because I didn't mention how anywhere yet? :-)

It's pretty easy...

Login to your MyChingo account
Click on the Chat Room tab

That's about it - once you are in the Public Chat room, switch to the Conference area and click on Open Conference.

Now you'll be the moderator of your own voice chat conference room.

For the rest of your audience, they can just click on the Chat button that is on the player on your website.

Then if they go to the conference area, they'll see your room listed when you are moderating it.

It's really pretty simple once you're there.

El Nacho,

Okay then. Perhaps you will get 20 people to donate $2.00 each towards your cause.

Best of luck and let me know if there is anything which I can do to help.

Okay, so I felt compelled to donate $5.00 and with PayPal's whopping 4.1% interest, you might have enough to join in ohhhhh say 17 years!

Okay, so my neighbor is an A/V specialist....I now have a microphone, a Tascam USB 428(?) 4-input mixer, and a desktop microphone stand...

So, to start my own podcast, I guess that all I need now is a topic?
Is there room on the board of directors for the Rambling Retard Renegades?

Wooooot!
