Ha ha, that would be ironic.
I'm sure it's just a combination of work + baby + speaking engagements + book work = no podcast.
It's been at least 10 days though...come back soon Rob!

Ten days isn't podfading, podfading is almost a month, in my opinion.
Just because they miss a week or two, doesn't mean they are podfading. People get busy.

I'm sorry but what the hell is "smoked him out? If you mean, made fun of him so bad he didn't come back, then your wrong. I don't check these forums every 20 seconds like some people do.

I'm not going to explain myself...I hope it's pretty obvious that I'm not having a pop at Rob.

This thread got really stupid fast.

It was actually stupid to begin with, which I take all the blame/credit for. It was tongue-in-cheek.
And I didn't 'get' what that bloke was even mad about...I thought he was sticking up for Rob.

Sorry for the delay in the last episode.
I was traveling last week and a conflict in schedules pushed out the interview with Ron Moore until this week. I posted it up within hours of doing the interview.
My next interview will be up Wednesday the 7th. And from there I hope to get back to every Wed and Sat for interviews.
Yes - The Baby played a big role in the less than regular schedule the last two months. But next week he goes to Day care and my wife goes back to work - so I should be more regular going forward.

Glad to have you back Rob, everyone appreciates all the work you have done for an unbiased and open awareness for podcasting.
I wish you and your family roaring success.
Sincerely,

I'm not sure why that would be ironic...

You have a good point there pupu...
Perhaps Soccer meant that if Podcast411 was done, it would be Ironic because PC411 is partly responsible for growing the medium of podcasting in such a positive way for so many podcasters (including me!) and simply ending the show after we all get more and more into it would be ironic. Well, as we all read Rob's post, Man Alive! (Thank goodness there is no irony here)
However, you are correct to think that this situation would not be ironic, it would, of course, be absolutlely tragic!
Here is a little breakdown of the distinction by an English language master BELOW:
George Carlin said he was sick and tired of how misused "ironic" was getting in the world. The true definition is "when something happens in the exact opposite of what you expect."
I remember him saying this once in one of his books.
If a diabetic is hit by a truck, it's a normal death.
If a diabetic is hit by a sugar truck, it's an odd and tragic death.
If a diabetic is hit by an insulin truck, it's a coincidental and oddly poetic death.
But if a diabetic is on his way to get some insulin and he gets hit by an insulin truck, then that's ironic.
Thanks for the shows everyone!

It might be ironic if Rob coined "Podfaded" and then podfaded himself, however Scott Fletcher is the owner of that term.

well maybe just cuz he's a podcast who's been here awhile and stuff...

Is it worth adding that the latest interview on the 411 is the best for some time? I really enjoyed it.

It is only the 7th day of June and there were 4 episodes in May so I think it is a bit early to use the label podfad with Podcast 411.

For the record, I still see some irony in the idea that someone who had just finished a book on how to podcast would suddenly stop podcasting.
ElNacho

yeah. basically he's just really 'in' in the podcastin world and it wud b ironic if he suddenly werent. 'n stuff.

You guys do realize that Rob is now a father for the first time, don't you?
By my count he's released about one podcast every week and a half since the baby was born.
I do not call that podfading. I call it having a life.

Can you imagine if Rob podfaded because he was hit* by a truck full of his books? "Irony" wouldn't do it justice.
* but not seriously hurt...just enough to throw him off for a couple of weeks.
