Is it possible to have the person on the other end of a skype call hear a audio clip I am playing on my computer, without having to put the mic up to the speaker.

I have two sound cards right now, and that is about it for hardware. What will I need to accomplish what I want to do?

Thanks

Rob

I just found an AWSOME bit of software to do this. The only problem is you have to have a Mac. I don't know if there is a PC equivalent. But I know there is a Linux one, as that is what it was ported from.

You can set where audio goes. So open the loop in your audio player, and set that audio players output to go to your sound out (IE Your ears), your recording app, and to go to Skype. Then set your interal Mic to go to Skype, and your recording app. Then just set the output of Skype to go to the recording app.

That may sound complex, but this is the best thing for that. I've been looking for that kind of thing for years.

Forgive me if you don't have a Mac, but I don't know where the Linux version is. But I KNOW there is one.
Jack is a low-latency audio server, written originally for the GNU/Linux operating system.

Well, that does sound GREAT for a Mac, but I do have a PC, if anyone knows of any hardware or software to do that, I would appreciate it!

Thanks

I found the site for the Linux Version. They pointed out a few alternatives, and some of them work on Windows. I don't know if it will be as good as Jack, but its worth a shot.

Look for the Mac/Windows centered systems.
