Hi,
Just started a new podcast site. Come post your podcasts and tell us what you think. We are currently working on adding some additional features which should be available within the month including a forum, rating system, podcast maker and many others. Thanks!
Here's the url: http://www.vicasting.com

Might be nice to have a way to edit your details after you've submitted them. If there is one and I'm missing it, maybe it should be more obvious? Just a thought.

This is more appropriate for "New Show Announcments." (http://www.podcastalley.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16)
The original poster was talking about going to his directory and adding your feed there. I agree that the subject line is ambiguous, but if you read his comment, it's pretty easy to see.

Since when did El Nach get hung up on punctuation? :)
I've seen it spelled lots of ways. I don't really think there's an absolute wrong way to spell it.

it bothers me any way but podcast or Podcast
any seperation of pod and cast, whether by a space, dash, capital, whatever, is annoying. its like calling, uh, somethin, somethin...seems like yer not really that knowledgable in podcasting. if you dont know how its written, chances are thats not the limit of your ignorence

In magazine or newspaper articles, where the concept needs to be explained well, I'd agree with you 100%. But when you're trying to differntiate one podcast from another, or even one directory from another, I personally tend to give a little more latitude. I think it goes along with seperating yourself from the pack. But that's just one opinion!

ElNacho, the feed details are fine. I misspelled a tag when I was adding it though and I'd like to correct it. So, more specifically, a way to add/change tags would be nice.
Also, despite my feed being good, the shows are listed out of order and their descriptions are not being picked up reliably. There is also a "Play" button for a post with no enclosure.
I'm not bashing... just trying to help you spiff things up. I'm always glad to be listed in one more place that people might find us!

Thanks for letting us know about the wierd order and "play" button by the post with no enclosure.
We are still developing a lot of features of the site and working out the bugs.
Thanks for the input!

the order of the posts.. from the time i did it was different.. went to work render, called up the price is right, started to take the number down for go daddy cos my sites broke and where moving it, did interviews, apply for a new job, went back and posted to other feeds i write a list of directories.(well more like copy and paste) and i go down the list and add. not trying to cover anything up. just trying to whore out my show. i do things out of order and sometimes in. genrally it all works out. if I was covering up i wouldnt of made the second posts. plus i had to fix the freakin url didnt post right. thats why theres an "edited" as for the other people thats there biz. 8)
have a nice mothers day...

it's quite obvious because you're responding to my post which came after yours. the original post was

there's nothing you can "do" about what you did now, but just for the future, dont just "whore" your show in a thread because the title is "post your podcast". "whoring out your show" isn't okay to do, it's called spam if not in the whore out your show area (http://www.podcastalley.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16)

Grammatically speaking Nacho, you're not one to cast stones (glass house and all). Yeah, you know how to write (I've seen you complete quite a few sentences coherently), but there's also quite a number of times that you've tossed up this net version of pigeon-english that is so rampant on boards and in chat rooms. So you might do well to lay it a little less thick when it comes to that.
Now, as far as posting in the wrong place, yes, she did post her show in the wrong place. Tokies, if you want your show info in every thread you post, make it part of your signature, and be sure to read at least the first post in the thread so you know what the topic is about.

well im dyslectic and if i waited and went over it 100 times there would still be errors. i simply wouldn’t see them. I normally speak much better then i write and if i waited to check everything 100 times id never post anything. ive gotten over it. the little embarrassment of being very dyslectic. It was worse before I couldn’t write at one point. it could be worse, some people who ive met, couldnt speak, write, and barely draw. I think im pretty lucky over all. I don’t really worry about it think of it as better than it once was. I focus on developed what im good at and work at the rest. will try harder about the checking tho. but just as a disclaimer about my furture posts please read it a couple of times. i think wyeth has done that before on mine. SORRY
Happy Mothers Day Again
Hope you got yours something nice

Hey, no need to apologize! I wasn't trying to bust anyone's chops. I have a dyslexic brother, and I recognized some of that in your posts. You've actually adjusted quite well to it, and I'm totally impressed by your acceptence of it!
