If i use 2 diffrent usb mics at the same time, will the timing take longer for one microphone than the other, thus making everything overlapping? :?

I tried plugging in two USB mics to my PC before, and the computer only recognized one microphone. If that's what you're thinking about doing, it probably won't work with two USB mics.

I ended up buying a mixer and two condenser microphones so I could use two microphones at the same time.

try it. does it work? there wont be that kind of echo thing if both hosts aren't an inch away from eachother. keep the mics pointed at yer mouths, and yell be fine. as far as multiple usb mics, i think it shud be alright. dunno what was wrong with, uh, whatshisface o'er thar yonder. just open up multiple recording programs and have each one record 1 of the mics

ilikepie22,

Here are two threads with similar questions. Maybe this will help.

I initially used one USB mic but shared it with at least 2 people. I thought that maybe using two USB mics or one USB mic and one regular (cheapie PC mic) mic might do the trick, but the problem was that the computer would only recognize one microphone. It doesn't work with a USB hub either. A sales person at Fry's allowed me to set this up at the store before I bought anything, and we couldn't get it to work the way I had hoped.

It got a bit inconvenient and we wanted better sound anyway, so we got the mixer and dynamic mics setup.

That was almost a year ago, so maybe there's new software now that might allow two USB mics to work together.
Please post how it turns out for you.
