Everyone who has an iRiver 7xx series player/recorder knows one of the biggest headaches is finding a mic that fits in the line-in/ext mic jack. The plastic moulding gets in the way. Okay. Here is your $4 solution:

Get a 1/8" stereo coupler from RadioShack or some other audio supply store. Then use the 1/8" patch cord that came with your iRiver. Use the coupler to join your mic and the patch cord and plug that into the line-in/ext mic jack. Problem solved.

You can even pay the extra $1 and spring for the snazzy gold-plated model.
