I'm planning a road trip, and would like to have some podcasts to listen to while driving. I know I could listen on my MP3 player via of those FM transmitters, but the thing will only hold so many shows and I'll be gone several weeks.
Someone told me I could burn podcasts to CD, but I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Will a car CD player read MP3 format?

Some car CD players will, but not all. If the shows are less than 80 minutes you can burn a podcast into the Standard Audio CD format, which all car CD players will play (unless they're one of the picky ones that don't like burned CDs).
If you have iTunes, you can choose which format to burn your disk to (mp3 or Audio CD). The problem with Audio CDs is that the podcasts get upconverted from mp3 (a lossy format) to either .wav or .aif files (less lossy), which are then burned onto the CD. The negatives are that the files are larger, don't sound any better than the original mp3s (and can sometimes sound worse), and you have to burn more CDs, because you can only fit 78 minutes of audio data onto an Audio CD.
If your CD player can handle mp3 files, use that format, because you can fit a ton more mp3 files onto a mp3 CD. Instead of listening for an hour and half, you can listen for a half day or more.

Hi,
I understand your problem. But I use a great CD duplication (http://www easymultimedia.co.uk) service provider. when I need to make lot of copy of any particular CD and it works very well for me. I hope you will get what you want.
Good Luck!

Hi,i am kinda new here. When we download podcasts, what format will it be in, and if the podcasts is "burned" into a CD or DVD,how can we make sure that standard DVD/CD players can read it?:)
