Spiceland, IN (OPENPRESS) March 4, 2006 — Sunday, March 5, the movie industry elite will gather in Hollywood’s Kodak Theater for the 78th annual Academy Awards. In the latest episode of the Bionic Genius Roundtable, the Bionic Geniuses get a jump on the awards by camping out on the red carpet several days in advance. From their podcasting tent, the Geniuses talk with a publicist for the Oscars about the nomination and voting process. Also featured this week are the Oscar picks of Jack Riggs, the official Bionic Genius movie critic and janitor for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. And, as if that weren’t enough, the Geniuses hand out some awards of their own in the first-ever Bionic Genius Podsker Awards.
“We were very excited to get to talk with someone from the Oscars,†according to Bionic Genius Terry. “They were able to fill us in on this whole mysterious voting process, which we found very interesting.â€
In addition, the Bionic Geniuses present their weekly “Chasing John Stewart†update, part of their ongoing effort to obtain an interview with John Stewart, host of Comedy Central’s Daily Show and also the host of this year’s Oscars telecast.
The Bionic Genius Poetry Slam also continues, as a listener contribution is added to the poem “Things That Crunch,†which, when completed, will be read to poet Billy Collins during his April appearance on the podcast.
The Bionic Genius Roundtable is a weekly podcast hosted by Terry Coffey, Alan Houser and Roy Smith.
