Why should YOUR SHOW be featured on Podcast Alley?

It's simply amazing just how many podcasts are out there now. I wonder what the rate of increase is per week?

Looking at Podcast Alley's homepage, we see the same top ten filtering in & out on constant rotation. With this many shows, I wonder how how can we get some air too?

Our hope is to be a featured site, then millions will know about our show too. I'm sure you feel the same; So, I gotta know...

Give a shoutout below -- Why should your show be featured?

Keep it simple so people will actually read your response.

Well I can't imagine any sane person *wouldn't* want their podcast featured! You don't do a podcast in the hopes of keeping it a secret.

And I definitely agree with your larger point...it would be really nice to see different podcasts featured every day instead of the same old ones.

I cant figure this one out. I've been featured in the sports section on iTunes for the last 5 months, and now I'm featured on the front page for the second time. This time it's under Fit & Fitness, But I still can't get featured here, hmmmmm.....
Don't get me wrong, I like being featured in iTunes because only 18% of my listeners come from there.

How long can 'A girl, a guy and a bottle' stay up there?

That is what I like about the Pickle-different shows on the Home Page. That way I find cool casts to listen to.

Why listen to my show? Actually, I would rather you didn't. That way I don't have to be afraid that I will offend anyone with my comments. I can talk about anything I want and no one will send my annoying e-mails about my content. I'm having fun-why ruin a good thing? :P

I want to be featured here, because we've never been featured anywhere!

I swear, I've never really have had any "breaks" in life, I've had to prove myself time and time again to show that I deserve to be around in whatever I do. Podcasting is something that I'm really proud of, and even though we have a very juvenille podcast, I still would like to have some sort of recognition.

I don't know... it's just that I wouldn't mind being cut a break and not have to spend so much money just to get my name out. After all the money, still we can't seem to break 100 or so listeners. I would love to go to feedburner and see a jump buy a hundred points. Our high on feedburner is 61 for a day, I'd love to see that jump into the 100s or the 200s for a couple of days. That's my secret desire.

the "Featured" shows are shows that have been recently added to the Podshow Network. No surpirse, as Podshow owns Podcast Alley. A full network integration is underway, I think you'll see changes to Podshow.com, Podcast Alley, Podsafe Music Network, and "Podshow Plus" as soon as the coming week.

I'd like to be featured. Heck, I'd like to be hired by Podshow. I wanna quit my job. But that's me. The way to do it is to establish a relationship with someone at Podshow, and for them to like your show. It might help if your show doesn't suck too, but maybe not. And I'm not suggesting that anybody's show sucks, part of podshow or not. Hell, I close each of my shows inviting listeners to email me to tell me that I suck. I used to get those kinds of emails/comments, but not since I've been asking. So either I don't suck, or nobody's listening. But my increasing bandwidth costs tell me otherwise.

I have been featured on the Pickle, which was nice.

Chad did mention this problem on unedited, and it's a good point. I just noitced that there are now two featured podcasts on the homepage of PCA. It would be nice to have PCN to feature others.

I think if you're not in Podshow, you likely won't be featured.

The decision is largely political.

Make a great show and don't 'depend' on PCA to get somewhere.

Frankly if you want to make it big you have to crack MUCH larger eggs than PCA.

Although PCA is a great place to introduce your show to others.

Do you want a huge listener base of RAW LISTENERS, or do you want all podcaster listeners??? Over here you're heard by mostly other podcasters.


Wanna get featured? If you work hard and make a great show, you might get asked to join Podshow. Joining Podshow will increase the likelyhood you can be on that front page.

Well let me start GTR has been out for only a year and our site been featured in many places from MTV, Xbox.com, Ign, Gamespot.com, Hip Hop sites, Jane Magazine (coming soon), and more. I mean we are the only video game/Hip Hop podcast out there.
