Hello everyone,
As the producer of the Musicians Cooler I am aware that musicians may not always be the most computer literate people on the planet. As a music promoter I've had some really off base items thrown my way.

Consequently, I've created a free guide for musicians to help them promote their music via podcasting in a efficient manner. Topics include:

The benefits of the Podsafe Music Network
Adding ID3 Tags to your MP3 File
Avoiding "Shotgun" marketing
Creating relationships with Podcasters
Finding Podcast that play your genre
Making IDs for podcasters

The document can be found at http://www.coolerpodcasts.com/materials/Promotion_throughPodcasting.pdf

Feel free to distribute it to any musicians you know.

I also recently had a roundtable featuring Michael Butler ( www.rockandrollgeekcom ) and Marcus Couch ( www.poshowmusicrewind.com ) to discuss additional insights into listing your music at the Podsafe Music Network.
You can hear this at http://media.libsyn.com/media/musicianscooler/mcooler55_031306.mp3

All feedback is welcome. As the internet is ever-changing I'm sure this document will be revised as we move forward.

That's a brilliant paper you got there.

Got a text version? I'd like to clip bits and send them to a couple of bands. Maybe post a piece on our blog. You'll get credit and a link to the pdf version, of course.

Thanks. You do good things.
