From the looks of things, it seems Podcast Alley has the most active community of podcasters. Are there others you guys enjoy using? I've found a few, but this seems like the best bet.

#1 is the Pickle and #2 is the Alley. As Bill Maher said, there's nothing wrong with cumming in #2.

I used to spend a lot more time here, but it’s gone down hill dramatically, so you’ll find me at The Pickle far more often.

The pickle's been around for about a year and has changed so much. There's actually a community on there that are listened to by the people that run it. P.Dilly gets involved in the community, organises events, particpates in discussions and embraces suggestions put to him and his team by the people who post there.

Any changes on the Alley in 12 months? Well there are the ads...oh and it's slower. Can you change your podcast description? Nope. Are feature requests acknowledged? Nope.

Yeah, you know which one I prefer.

The pickle is #1 but the reason why I don't really visit the site is because the UI is too cluttered for my taste.

The pickle is getting a total makeover soon as is the alley.

How it's all going to integrate together is known only to PodShow, but I would expect the Alley will be a impressive beast when it's done.

I still prefer the Pickle because it's more community minded and will continue to grow at a rapid rate.

Time will tell. It's good to have diversity.

Well, let's see, you have two IDs at Podcast Pickle, the UI is horrible, and I find it to be much, much slower than PCA. But there's going to be a makeover, so that's a plus. Also a plus is that a lot of very good Podcasters hang out there.

Whether the Pickle is a better community is a subjective opinion. A community is what you make of it. If all you want to do is come here and bitch about this or that, then you'll reap what you sow (and the negative energy you create).

No matter whether you prefer Pickle, Alley, or another one, if it's active, it's likely useful.

The Pickle seems a bit self-conscious and cutesy in a weird sort of way. I prefer hanging out in the Alley with Sally!

I too find the pickle a bit cluttered and slow. A makeover sounds good.
The alley, also will be madeover, pretty soon from what I gather.

Next week on ABC-TV: Extreme Makeover: Podcast Edition!

The pickle just got pimped and it looks SO much better - pisses all over this place from a tremendous height!

It does look better than it did, but I noticed that folks with pictures (like King Monkey) in their sig line, force the body of their post outside the border of the forum layout. So looks-wise, still needs some work.

Performance seems much more robust, however. I give kudos for that!

I hung out here religiously then went to the Pickle in August... asked P.D. if I could host a party (http://www.keeme.com/wp/?page_id=981)at his place and the dude put all his resources on it (impressed me to the max). I like the fact the pickle offers chat and if you ask for help re:your profile, the site, assistance with the production of a show or ???? there will be a quick answer (even if you ask for that help on someone else's board).

PCA rocks and so does the Pickle... no need to have to choose, just use em both.

I know the pickle was the first and seems like the best so far, but this could be biased, but why not check out the mayhem? Only one account for everything and I tried to make it a cleaner interface.
