Anyone any experience of these things?

I notice the podcasting magazine says they are very good value at £40 (GBP) for a pair.

The websites listing them seem to not mention speech but instruments.

Would I get a bargain or wasting my time?

I am currently using two Electrovoice E235 dynamic mics and wondering about the C2's or save up my pennies for the MXL990's.

Any thoughts people?

Matt

If you look on line, sometimes you can find the mxl990 for 49.99
I use it, and it's well worth it.

Unfortunately 49.99 in dollars in the US but I can't find it cheaper than 59.99 in pounds sterling - about 105 US dollars in the UK!

If I really need to I will buy two but as its twice the price I would have to be sure the MXL990 was a LOT better than these C2's

I know that the MXL 990s are awesome. I have never played with the C2s but I use the 990 and adore it. Highly recommended.
