Keep the spam coming. People love spam! You've joined the lofty ranks of penis enlargers, debt reduction, bankers from Nigeria and teen porn.

You go, girl!

wow I really hope you did this by mistake .

You should only post in forums that are relevant to your topic and once spam is rude.

put it in a private message and send it to her.

55 times!

Then e-mail her, call her voicemail and bomb her forums.

Of, just ignore her like everyone else is.

It's A Mistake!!!!!

(remember that song by Men at Work?)

Sorry SORRY SORRY!!!!!!

We're doing a posting party 2 nite and Karen went a little crazy..she's "new to the alley" (yes there it is..under her pic) and new to forums..so she did not realize that one post would have been fine. She will be punished to the full extent (Prof. Tom we would need some suggestions here...) and we are real sorry!

Sorry!

I did want to get one quick post in before Chris bans our IP address :(

This seems an appropriate place to share this. I recently gave someone else some grief about multi posting, and he didn't like it. But in our discussion, I think I explained rather well that not only is it annoying to people reading the forums, there's another very negative effect:
You should understand why people get a little "severe" about this: The newer posts, or the active posts, always get displayed on the front page of Podcast Alley. By hitting the boards with two (or more) of the same post, you are pushing down the list, or off the front page, other people's posts. You could be knocking off someone's new show announcement (which in most cases is the only "front page" exposure they'll get in a week), or a request for help with a technical difficulty. By posting twice (or more) you are limiting the exposure someone gets. I hope you have a little more awareness about that from now on.

I'm not posting this to further ride Karen's butt (I think she's learned a lesson), but rather in case anyone else who looks at this gets a similar idea -- though I might get their IQ tested if they still think of doing after the reaction this has gotten so far!

Ok, then you are forgiven.

Who needs mods? Not us.

apparently.

I'm sorry, too. I should have cooled myjets and gone with my first impression that it was a mistake. On the other hand, with a title like "Posting Frenzy", can you blame me.

I hope things went well.

Is there an appropriate place to pimp out your own show. I am new here and don't really want to incur the wrath of the masses.

Right, but the proper forum at PodcastAlley is "New Show Announcements." (http://www.podcastalley.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16)

The only time people get too uptight about it is in a situation like this old, old post. This wasn't the only place at PCA that this exact same message was posted, so people got a little annoyed with it.

But as Frank and Karen said, it was a mistake from a then-novice on the boards. No harm, no foul.

:)

Absolutely Frank! I wasn't trying to come down on the girls. I was just explaining to the new user why they got the reaction they did. Like I said, this post is old news, and I think everyone understands what happened!

BTW, any luck on getting the old iPod codec back?

A couple months ago I tried listening to RumorGirls. I really wanted to like it because it seemed as if they might be covering the same content in their podcast that I am in my podcast.

The sound quality and sound production is excellent, but content-wise I just couldn't get it. I listened to two episodes #77 and the first one and I really wanted to be enthralled with it, but I found most of the jokes and references to be insular. As a new listener I couldn't jump-in and know what was going on. Perhaps I should have listned to more than 2 podcasts, but that's the thing I think is essential for podcasting, you need to grab the listener from the very beginning.

I wish the girls much success and it seems as if they are already on their way.
