Karatekast is hitting the road next year on a world tour.
Our first stop is in Spain.
I'm concerned about electricity being different and screwing up my gear.
Any suggestions?

What kind of kit are you taking?

Steve,
I'm returning to the UK in May after living in the States for 10 years. I'm taking my mixer and compressor with me. The mixer automatically handles the voltage/frequency difference internally. My compressor requires me to switch the fuse unit and rear power plug around (it'll take a screwdriver and less than 5 minutes). Both items use a standard C13/C14 IEC connectors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_connector).

You'll just need the cords with two round pins (Type C) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_AC_power_plugs_and_sockets#Type_C_.28Euro pean_2-pin.29) at one end, and a standard C13 IEC socket at the other. You're sure to find them for a couple of Euros each in practically ANY electrical shop.
For portable gadgets, Google 'travel power adapter (http://www.google.com/search?q=travel+power+adapter)', and you'll find oodles of them for between $20 to $40.

Thanks,
I have my laptop and a mixer, the rest is self contained.
We will be taking the show to Spain and Saudi Arabia in 2007, so I'm trying to make sure that we wont get any suprises.
Who knows maybe by then, we will have 2 separate sets of gear just for this sort of thing.
