The Million Seconds Homepage - Podcast instead of pixels

Hi,

I would like to present an interesting and maybe crazy project.

I think you already heard about the website where a guy sold 1 million pixels, each pixel for $1, and is now a millionaire. (http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com) Now, there exist a lot of copycat sites and selling pixels is out. This only works once.

As a musician and podcaster, I came up with the idea of selling one million seconds. People buying seconds on my homepage can upload audio material, an image and link to their homepage. The audio files will then be streamed like internet radio from my server and there exists also a podcast.

After selling one million seconds, I would like to take this little time capsule (hopefully representing the life on earth up to now and having audio files in different languages with a lot of different topics), create a dvd and stream the audio files once to the universe. So I derived the original idea from being only a visual pixel/large adbanner site to an audio-visual homepage.

I would appreciate to get some feedback about this project and please feel free to feature/promote and take part on this project somehow ;-)
