Podcastads - Seems to be Text based Ads

I just checked out this site www.podcastads.com (http://www.podcasterads.com?pid=11) and it is anothersite (Like Kiptronic, Like Podtrac) only this seems to focus more on you reading the ad (which I personally prefer).

The other thing I liked is they have their split right in the FAQ (you get 75% of the fee).

The thought being no ad insertion, you put it in live into your podcast and its there forever.

Is anybody using www.podcastads.com (http://www.podcasterads.com?pid=11) yet?

i actually went to advertisers and sold them on my podcast (about music) and produced commercials through pocketspots (.com i think). i ordered the cheapest commercial, then sold them on the idea. i ve sold 6 so far. not getting rich...but i have quite a few listeners.

We talked with someone from PodcasterAds a couple of weeks ago via phone. They approached us about joining the network. They answered questions, etc. Wish I could find the email they sent so I know who we talked to.

I liked what they had to say, which is pretty much what was covered in the FAQ, but also learned they are non-exclusive -- you can hunt for your own advertisers if you wish. Most of the questions we had were pretty basic, and we received some honest feedback.

When they first approached us, we looked at the site, and we could poke around quite a bit. I just went back and -- Well, I tried to go back, but so far I can't connect with their site :?

Hopefully it's just a glitch tonight, but if you're an advertiser or producer, you can't be having your connections gong down. Wish I'd thought to ask them about the reliability of their hosting platform.
