Advertising and swapping promos Anyone interested?

Hi everyone. Just entering the wonderful world of the pod. We run a magazine down under called TASTE Australia, and so far have four casts online with more coming (of course).
What's an Aussie anyway?
I'm about to produce a promo for my podcast and website and TV show. Is anyone interested in swapping promos?

Hello Katy and Anne Marie "I want to be in the part that's steerin'" :)
Try the itunes oneclick link on the site, or try going thru Itunes and do a search for Australia. we come up second I think. In any case, a few format bugs to iron it seems. I'm producing mp4 files, as I thought that was the go for iPod, but with the difficulties I'm seeing, I'm really not sure what to go for now.

Take a look at the magazine - see if that will download! and perhaps we can chat more then. I like your stuff by the way. Maybe we can do skype chats as cross cultural poddies when I get a little sharper on this.

Hi Katy,
I did a lot of updating last night, so everything should be fine now. Little crap tech issues were holding me up a little. I am considering sterring people directly to the feed rather than attempting to replicate the info on the website. I might just leave the large scale flash versions of the vidcasts on there, as they are so SMALL compared to stupid quicktime/mov/mp4 files.
I'll get to work on our promo.

I've had an idea that makes the whole cross promo thing much more interesting. What do you people think?

We are always interested to hear 'foreign' attitudes on heaps of stuff. Maybe we could do some kind of cross cultural questionaire. It would be really interesting. Write a series of questions for me and I'll do the same for you. We can do a podcasts section on the answers. the podcast can be made just once, it promotes all of us (as all our answers can be in the cast) and then we can all just run the one file. Much less work. We could end up starting a trend!

Here are some examples.

How does your average Texan look. Guys and then girls. Though essentially we know it's not the case, over here we get this impression (from hollywood and TV) that Americans are all slim and beautiful.

So,

What do they wear when they go out? Do they dress up, or is it jeans with huge flys and floppy jackets with hoods?

What is the diet like?

When you do go out in Texas what do you eat?

What do people weigh on average (translate to kilograms please!)

What is considered a leisure activity? What do you do for grins?

What type of things are most people interested in reading about or hearing about?

Are they big travellers?

What do people know about Australia? Ask a few people

Where it is

What are Australians like?

Do they know any famous Australian?
