I think you're selling out to what you think is popular. You try to cover too many things. It sounds like your looking for an audience. Be your self and let the audience find you.
All too often we try to change to match the times. Well the times change so much that your show sounds like trends.
That can be good or bad. It's good because you might move up fast on the charts, but what we know is that when you move up fast, you fall fast too.

Ok first off let me say I have a hard time getting into "theme" based podcasts, tech casts, gardening casts etc. I guess its my A.D.D. but thats besides the point. I thought your audio quality was good. The thing that I really want to comment on is most of these "theme" based podcasts everyone is acting like a friggin expert on whatever topic it is that there show is about, but with you two I felt like I was hanging out with some friends listening to them tell me how "The New World" was etc. etc.. It's also cool is you give points to look for in the movie without giving the whole **** thing away. There was a couple of times you did mentioned scenes in the movie that might be better off not talking about for enjoyment purposes. i.e. "The New World" flashback ending reference, but stuff like this doesn't ruin movies for me. I like the dollar rating system very cool. Hustle and Flow was a really good movie b.t.w. (weird how that movie pulled you in) I have neighbors in the 60's that enjoyed that movie.

You guys are refreshing and enjoyable, I wouldn't change a thing.

(suggestion) Put your feed on your site so people with ipodder or yahoo can subscribe.

The awards segment was cool, I would add possibly a movie trivia segment you two seem like you can ask and answer some really good trivia. Not dumbass questions like who was the main star of Forrest Gump but questions that make you dig deep. Thats just my A.D.D kicking in again though.

In closing I am going to subscribe because I don't get out to movies or rent much, married with child. Last movies I saw (last week) Saw and In Good Company, good and cheese LOL. So I can use your site to hear what I am missing. Well there's your review hope it helps.

Good thing, because your pod cast is completely devoid of a theme. But I get the feeling that is just what you are shooting for.
You came across in your episode4 ( the one I listened to) as a couple likable enough guys sittin round shooting the ****. You had some good topics and was an enjoyable listen. I question how long this format will last in a market saturated by this type of programming tho.
Decent sound quality. Except when someone belched on air I don't mind dropping the F Bomb but I draw the line at bodily functions.

Not sure if you were asking for a review or not but I'll give one anyway.

I'll start off by saying I know nothing about martial arts beyond what have seen in Bruce Lee movies. and don't particularly care about the subject mater .That said I will focus on production and sound of the 2006-01-30 show.
Good production at the begining of the show. nice integration of intro preview and sponsor promo. BIG problem with the interview though. the hard panning between yourself and your guest is a real distraction and takes away from the production value stereo seperation is a good tool but there should only be just enough to be able to decern the seperation in head phones.

It's ok. I have to listen more. I agree with the others that you have too many topics. I think the dumbest show is the one by El Nacho! He rules.

very true I think listners can be very fickle you of course want to listen to critism and improve on what you can to try to make your show the best you can...for me if my opion is worth something I even like when a fan throws me a creative bone once in a while I am very open for ideas but at the end of the day I have to drive where my show is going and be comfortable with the decisions I have made. Hopefully I can whittle away the vacume of sucktatude from my show which is now a commercial sized shop vac to a hand held dustbuster thats my long term goal anyways.
Doesnt help when you have a dirty carpet. But it makes for a better show
