We are still quite new, so we could really use help getting the word out. If your show plugs ours, we would be more than happy to check yours out and return the favor. Visit http://www.makeshiftmajesty.com to check us out.
Also, are there any unique marketing methods out there that have been paying off?
Thanks for reading!

You can use the ping service at triyo:
http://www.triyo.com
Its free, and you dont have to register. It works in the same way as wordpress (and other blogging platforms) pinging weblogs etc when you post, it sends a signal to sites on the internet containing information about the location of your feed, and the title of your podcast. The sites then update their listings to put your podcast on (as most recently updated). The sites pinged have high traffic volume so there is the good potential for you to pick up some new listeners..and it contacts all the major blogging ones as well as major podcasting ones like iTunes, yahoo, odeo etc..
Worth a shot!

Hey, that's pretty cool! Thanks for the tip.
I had seen your unique-looking avatar and didn't really know what it meant.

NP- I see you're in the directory now, I bumped up your likelihood of being on the front page over the next few days, just for a little extra exposure. When I get a little time later, I look forward to listening to the podcast, definately looks interesting.

I tried it out. Seemed to work without a hitch. A good service!

Thanks!
The service itself is always being improved, with the scout for new sites to ping taking priority. Most will accept every ping sent with the exception of some like Technorati only accepting one ping per feed per 'x' amount of time, (which you will be notified of). Otherwise its a fairly good plan to ping every time a new show is released to inform the net about new content, same as blogging really (only podcasting is obviously better!).
