Here's a new search engine called PodZinger that might be useful for podcasters and for those interested in tracking podcast information. It uses speech to text technology that converts podcasts to text and then makes that text searchable by keywords.

Nice thing is that you do not have to listen to the entire podcast but only the segment where the keyword is mentioned.

I have no affiliation with this service, but **** is it cool. I subscribed to the RSS feed it makes and get a whole slew of new shows talking about podsafe music that I might not have found otherwise.

What I'm curious about is how many podcasts it is indexing. It doesn't seem to be every one of them and a large chunk are definitely not showing up.

This is some slick *** technology.

It's good that you guys find it useful. I actually work with some people at PodZinger and they recently reported that they now have more than 70,000 podcasts available for searching and a text index of more than 250 million words.

Wow. That's cool. I wonder what it'll say about El Nacho.

I added my site.
