Get PodCast Notification Via SMS (Text)

So not sure if anyone has meantioned this or thought of the new possibilities of your listener's being able to get an SMS or Text Message via their cellphone when your podcast/blog is updated. The new beta service in Yahoo allows users to subscribe to any feed on the Web and when the feed is updated a notification is sent to the user. So I thought why not put this out so my listener's could get notifications when they are away from the computer.

I wanted to share this with everyone so you too could pass this on to your listener's.

Another service is called FeedBeep (http://www.feedbeep.com) which is very similiar and I think is planning to expand coverage to various other areas throughout the world. I think Yahoo will probably do the same via their many Yahoo sites in other countries, but since their Feed Alerts are beta, they are probably going to work out all the bugs before doing such a thing. Once important thing is that Yahoo is FREE and FeedBeep looks as if it charges a fee.
