Hey All,
I started a podcast called the Fake Science Lab Report about 10 months ago with my friends. We wanted to focus on the rapid changes and evolution we have been seeing in the digital music industry. One topic that kept coming up was digital distribution and the legalities behind it. After doing a lot of research and hard work we formed a company and launched the Fake Science Digital Music Store at the end of 2005.
With the launch of the site we have been bringing in a lot of amazing music from around the world. If you are looking for legal “podsafe†music for your show and you like the music we have in our catalog let us know. All our artists are interested in getting their music out there and they would love to have you play it. Here is another source of great, legal music for all you podcasters.
Also, if you know independent artists (or you are one) that are looking into digital distribution let us know. While the rest of the industry is motioning to charge more and more for digital music, Fake Science is charging less and at the same time giving back more (60% of every sale goes to the artist). We sell digital full-length albums for $5, and EPs for $2. If you or an artist wants to submit music to be considered for our catalog then use this form:
