I sure hope the graphic design of the magazine is better than the circa-1995 animated image on your current home page.

They even plan a print version...
*edit* Hmm...check out the press page (http://www.id3mag.com/press.php). A few familiar names there.

I truly wish them both the best of luck (they are going to need it). The advertising is so tough to get (trust me, I've been doing niche magazines for 20 years).
Think ID3 Magazine is off to a better start--- I would be surprised if the pod magazinr gets off the ground. They didn't even take the time to put up a promo site or an editorial calendar...

More than once I've purchased a subscription to a fledgling magazine and never received a 2nd issue. Its hard to break into a print magazine these days when everyone does just about everything electronically.
(AND these were magazines with an electronic version as well, just for the record.)
Not that I don't wish them the best with their endeavors!

The cost of printing and shipping publications are huge. Then there is the whole business of getting authorized to be in stores. It's an uphill battle..I had contemplated a podcast magazine a year ago.
However, it is tough to offer this market (computer oriented people) a variety of content that they can't find at a touch of a button on the internet already.
A E-zine, they may have a shot (if they can make it different than all the blogs and sites that already give great info on podcasting)....I hope I"m wrong, I hope I am kicking myself in the *** because I didn't do it. But reality, if podcasting becomes a viable advertising medium...one of the big computer publications will do an insert issue, see the results and spin it off into a new title. Trust me, I've been killed by that a few times already!
Well, good luck guys!! I will certainly subscribe and support your efforts!! As both a niche publisher and a podcaster (I'm so proud to say that I'm a podcaster now!!)

I'm late on this, but,...
I think both, a printed and online version would be best.

Podmagazine, get off tripod and get your own domain if you can.
ID3 looks good. They should have a podcast promo out by now to hype it up.
