how would i do this? can i put a flash movie on an ipod? i haven't a clue where to begin, so i know this is one of those very annoying general questions - i just thought if someone had an idea, perhaps it would be helpful.

i wrote a series of children's books a few years back and i want to stick them in a vidcast for the world to enjoy, maybe play for their kids at bedtime.

If you have all your episodes in a flash video format, the easiest way I could think of would be to get Windows Media Encoder, and just record the flash video to an actual video format like mpg, wmv etc.

The link above goes to a progrm that is selling for 50 bucks, and they can supposedly they can convert SWF to MPG, I've never used it so don't take my word on it, but definatley check i out. I think it'd be rather hard to find a freeware equivalent, most video encoding software costs money.

you can export a flash file as a .mov. Then convert as needed.
The flash program has that option already.
