I need a good source for podsafe sound effects.
I can find TONS of sound effects, but have no idea who owns them.
Specifically I need a 'news ticker' sound. Like the cheesy 70's style morse code.
Generally, I need a website with podsafe FX.
Thanks for your help.

There are several sound effects websites that sell individual sound effects that you can audition online. With the sale comes the right to use them. Of course there are large collections that can be bought on CDs that also come with the right to use them, but they are pretty costly. There are also outfits that will supply you with big collections of sound effects and production music and you only pay them when you use something in a production. The fees, called "needle drop fees" are for each individual use. But I doubt they would send a big collection to a podcaster.
Here's a few sites that sell individual bits. Some of them offer a limited number of free sound effects for download as well.

I sent Adam Curry an audio comment for the daily source code about just this topic. He hasn't played it :|
