I would just like to know what percentage of people listen
mostly online or offline.
Myself, I listen online, during work, sometimes from home,
but I never download content to my portable player.
I have a short commute to/from work, and spend most of
my days in front of an Internet enabled computer.
Online listening is the way for me.
What about the rest of you?

I guess I listen online right now, but that's probably just because I'm between iPods. My shuffle got zapped (and wouldn't have been the ideal means of listening to podcasts in the first place) but I'm getting a nano for Christmas... And one of those nice iHome clocks. So we'll see how my listening habits change.

I'm about 50-50 between online and offline.
I have internet connectivity at work, but my employer frowns on a lot of time spent on non-company-business-related browsing.
Typically, I will download the files and then load them up on my iPod, and then listen on my commute.
I voted "offline" because, if I really have to choose, that's where the scale tips.

don't own an mp3 player. I work from home and have nice speakers. Ear buds just can't compete. ;)

I've noticed a slight difference between those results. I think people are doing a lot of things with their computers while listening online. I, myself, am listening online and only at work.

Is it Resurrect a Dead Thread day already? My how time flies :)
For me, I listen to every podcast offline, even if I'm sitting at work and using speakers. I just have those speakers plugged into my ipod.

Now, I must listen to everything online, but before my P.O.S. Dell MP3 player died on me, i would listen to them all offline, at work. It gave me tons of time to review alot of material on a daily basis. Now, that time is gone and occasional ideas pop up during breaks... lol

I'd go with offline, I spend my time online in 15-20 min spurts.
Listening on my mp3 player or work computer. If Im at home, I usually opt for the radio.

Hey, it's Ressurrect the same dead thread that was resurrected 4 months ago day!
I didn't see this at the time so I never replied.
I own an iPod that I put Rockbox on. I have booted the iPod into its original firmware less than 10 times, and never to listen to music or watch a video. The last time was to prove to a coworker than you could still do it after installing Rockbox, and that was about a month ago.
I also don't have iTunes installed anywhere but a virtual machine on my work computer, and that's only to check my shows out because there is no web interface to the iTunes store.
