I didn't see any info here on this topic.
Now that you have a show, how do you get the ears to it?
I'll go first....

Since our show is adult, I have to be careful about where I promote. I've found that online has too much "noise" to get my podcast heard. So, I decide to thinkglobally and act locally.
I live in Chicago. I went to bars with an adult theme and passed out stickers. Sticker are cheap (50 buck for 250) and people like them. The sticker design is my avatar. People thought they were cute.
Step two: Next I'm going to print postcards. Full color illustration on one side and a description of the show on the other.
What are you doing?
Some ideas I've tried in the past: Fortune cookies, temporary tattoos, posters, sample cds.

The "promo" sticky thread right above your new one should prove helpful... lots of great ideas in there, when you have a chance to read through.
I'm anxious to check out your show!

?!
Did you look at the topic listings? On the first screen of this particular forum alone I see:
* Promoting Podcasts: The Next Step (that one's a sticky topic, so it's always listed first, and it's currently running to 6 pages)
* Ideas for promoting my new show
* Promos and Etiquette
* More Promos, PLEASE!
* Cheap Podcast Advertising
...And much more on the other 33 pages of the "Podcaster Discussions" forum, and in other forums on this site.
None of which is to say it's inappropriate to start a new topic, that's all well and good, but saying you "didn't see any info here" just indicates that you didn't look. Heck, it's one of the top three persistent subjects people talk about here, right behind Adam Curry and bitching about the moderators.
