I found this classic movie on the Internet Archive called "A Day of Thanksgiving" from 1951.

Be safe, eat a bunch of turkey, and give somebody a hug!

I'm thankful for podcasting -- **CHEESY** Yes cheesy, but it's awesome to have a hobby my hubs & I enjoy doing together.

I hope everyone has a good few days off work. Eat what you want, as much as you want, whomever you want.

Peace Out

YES. I grew up in a household that boycotted the traditional thanksgiving for this very reason.

That said, today I am thankful for my health and the health of the people I love (and my doggie, too), thankful I have a job and a home, and thankful that Safeway is open today because I forgot to get pie.[/b]

i don't like thanksgiving. i don't like the food, i don't like the people, i don't like the football. i am not ungrateful, but i just don't like it. i don't eat turkey, i don't eat sweet potatoes with the marshmallows, i don't eat the green bean casserole. i guess stuffing is ok, but considering it's been up the turkey's ***, i don't think i'm eating it. i'm glad that i'm alone and lonely this holiday. i am thankful for that.

im not really thankful for anything on thanksgiving, anything i have im usually grateful for having it all the time...along with christmas and some of the other stupid holidays that have been blown out of proportion by our society, it is just a day that people think it makes them exempt from truely being *****les and they feel all chummy and its all bullshit...

im no scrooge, but if you're an *****le all the time, and for one day out of the year that you show your feelings and ponder on what really matters, you become a bigger *****le...

happy thanksgiving to all of you and enjoy your turkey or tofurkey or whatever your customs are...and if i don't like you, go fukk yourself...

i hate radio commercials, those dumb **** actors on TV, TV commericals (and their actors), TV show plots, etc on TV, people who do chain letters, vegans and the like who think that milking a cow is bad for the cow, terrorrists, people who get sick and dont try and be healthy and get others around them sick and still dont try and be healthy and wear the same clothes for 5 days strait and blow their nose and dont wash hands etc (little sister), and well a lot of other stuff.

Im greatful that uh i uh got lotsa food, yummeh food

How can you call yourself a "Foodie" if you only eat vegetables....

That's just not right. I don't understand the whole "Vegetarian" thing,
and I never will.

truthfully, i do it for certain ethical reasons...and it isn't set in stone - i probably would eat meat if i knew it was humanely raised. but actually, going vegetarian will do loads for you foodwise - because it forces you to cook and eat in a certain way that really opens you up - you have to be more creative, use more spices, etc - all you have to do as a meat eater is chuck a big steak on the grill - i mean that **** doesn't need anything to taste perfect. try it, chuck! i think you should go veggie for a month for your new show - it would be very interesting to hear your experiences!

i am full of good ideas!

I cook plenty of vegetable dishes, in fact portabello mushrooms are a great beef substitute if prepared properly, but I still love meat. I don't feel that using meat or not affects my culinary creativity in the least.

While I can respect your reasons for not eating meat (I don't use microsoft products for moral/political reasons) I myself believe that because we are at the top of the "Food Chain" we may as well enjoy it. Life is too short to deny ourselves the pleasure of a well prepared roast duck, or rack of lamb.

I do agree that throwing a big slab of meat onto a grill for a few minutes lacks originality, It can still taste pretty **** good.

I will however dig up some good vegan recipes just for you.
