Hello...

Using AudioHijack Pro to produce podcasts and we're beginning to jump into 2-person (or more) productions using Skype.

Since the format is essentially a recorded live show, it would help the "Skype Caller" to hear the snippets being played via iTunes and other audio sound bits. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this?

Is there another cross-platform alternative (other than Skype) than can pipe system audio back to the caller?

Thanks.

Take a look at Soundflower, I think AHP can install it for you.

It can route your voice and sound effects into a new input device, which you then set Skype to use for input instead of the microphone.

I'm not at my setup right now, but that should get you started. I've been looking at AHP (I currently record from my iMac to an iRiver), but this is one piece of the puzzle I haven't solved yet. I do like the AuAudioFile device under Tiger in AHP, I can put all the music and soundseffects into it.

you should also be able to run it out from your computer into a mixer and then send the mixer out (with your voice and sound effects) back into the computer.
