A few weeks back i asked for people to send me promos. By the end of next week I'll be out so please send me more promos. Either send me a link to your promo or an MP3 of your promo to smallworldpodcast@gmail.com

I can't think of a web site that's dedicated to promo exchanges. In the mean time, my Yahoo group, Podcast Revolution (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/podcastrevolution/) has a promo section you can upload your files to (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/podcastrevolution/files/).

No, you're right. The only problem with Podcast Alley is that there isn't a dedicated section just for promo exchanges. You either post a new message or dig through old threads. It would be great if there was a web site where that's what they did specifically.

OpenPodcast used to be a great source for getting promos but they've been down for, what, weeks? Does anyone know the story behind that?

I thought that was what this site did.
Am I wrong?

Joe,

If you go to podcast pickle and look down the right side their will be a pull-down menu that says podcasts with promos. Here you will find hundreds of promos and a way to notify ppl that you played their promo if you want.

Just thought I'd let you know. I also gave you a shout out and told ppl to send you promos on my latest show Unedited.

I started using the new promos this week! I still have a handful of older promos I haven't gotten around to using.

I've got a playlist in iTunes of promos set up to play at random. Whenever I do a show, I go ro the playlist and hit play and whatever is played first is what I use for that day.

What with the thread and OpenPodcast up and running again I'm good for the next two months. but keep them coming, by al means. I know I'm not the only one using this as a source of material.
