I was on the TWiT website today, and found that they are working with someone called Podtrac.

I went to their website: http://www.podtrac.com/podcaster/
and signed up for an account.

Looks to me like they are getting read to sell ads for producers to put in their shows.

I was just wondering if anyone had heard of them, or has been using them, or if they are new?

Thanks

Rob

Check out Scott Fletcher's latest Podcheck Review podcast. He talks a lot about it. This is another valuable podcast.

Hope this helps.

That Podtrac thing looked pretty good, I signed up, just for the heck of it. Should be interesting if they ever actually contact me. Seems like an interesting service.

All I know is that fosco and I ended up in room 3038 at the Marriott at a party hosted (I think) by Podtrac. Don't really know what they do, but the people were nice and the food was free, I mean good. It was nice because the guy who runs podtrac gave us some free drinks, many thanks for that to podtrac.

Hope this helps ;)

Yes, podtrac is a fantastic service! You should sign up now, it's a completely free third-party measurement tool. The way they get their money is when they bring a paying advertiser to you. They just get a standard advertising agency percentage of your revenue from the advertisement spot, so their interests are aligned with the podcaster.

Mark (the CEO and "main dude") worked for MAJOR advertising agency in New York. So he has the marketing edge (probably why their customer servey kicks ***). Then he spent months talking with Podcasters, and understanding how they make their pdocast. Except for adding a small redirect code to your mp3 file (so you can get accuracte stats), you don't change a **** thing. So let's see. You get a free Pupu player, a free customer sruvey, a free press kit, and the potential to earn cash. Can you say no brainer boys and girls?. I didn't see you could cancel at any time, but then I didn't see any time constraints put on the podcaster.

So I'm in 3038 talking with Mark. Brother love is bouncing off the walls (and chairs -literally), some guy form Asia is humping another podcater's leg, people laughing, joking, having a great time. I look at Mark and go, "so now that you see the people who will be responsible for making you money, are you nervous?" to which Mark answered, "Are you kidding me? I love this stuff, it's all good."

Thanks for the Miller Light Mark. You guys rock!
