The members of the Podcast Peer Awards, through voting and consensus, have adopted the following policies.

The Podcast Peer Awards will be awarded twice a year, but each category will only be awarded once per year.

Sponsors of the awards, and their immediate families, and employees of the PPA, are not eligible for awards. This applies to companies and organizations that sponsor the awards or an award category. It does not apply to people or organizations that purchase ad space on our pages without sponsoring awards.

Podcastsers may join the PPA if they've done a minimum of six podcasts and have been podcasting for three months.

We reserve the right to refuse membership to anyone.

Members and non-members of the PPA are eligible to receive awards.

Members of the PPA may advertise their shows on the PPA site at no charge. These ads are displayed on a rotating, random basis. Podcasters with multiple shows are allowed one ad for each show.

Awards will include the following categories:
Best Short Podcast (Shows averaging ten minutes or less)
Best Storytelling
Best Family Friendly podcast
(Many more to come.)

We’ve got about fifteen categories up now for comments, and will be voting on them soon. With twice yearly awards, we can create twice as many categories.

If you’re a member of the PPA, please stop by and comment on the categories (we’ll be voting on them soon) and add any others you’d like to see. If you’re not a member, and would like to get involved, sign up.
